and .. the feeling is so damn good. It's like, "Yoohooo ... you'll never get me" that kinda feeling! Try it if you dare, this is how I balance myself under a pressure-working-environment like that!
Gotcha … It is HALLOWEEN!
Wacky Pontinak Creamy wishing everyone Happy Halloween!
There were endless funs & laughers last night, definitely a night to remember! The wacky team of Promenade Hotel turn into "Pontianaks" in this annual ghost event themed "Spirits of the Rainforest", treating “Spirits” of the Press, Airlines and Tourism NGOs.
McBorneo Combo Meal – a relay eating game that follow the ‘Fear Factor’ way. Participants have to finish the plates of bitter gourd + live Butod + a huge glass of Bloody Mary. I have to agree that Charles from MAS was great, he ate the live Butod like eating chocolate ... I salute him. How can he put the yucky moving creature into his mouth?! Anyway, his team won the game!
The Reincarnation of Monsopiad – a team of 3 participants creatively dress-up their team member to be the most funky legendary local head hunter – “Monsopiad”. Glad that all participants are sporting enough to turn themselves into that look.
Tapai Drinking Session – As usual, a competition on Tapai drinking. These people are great in drinking especially Eddie Anggat from New Sabah Times (first from right in the photo), he finished all 9 glasses of Tapai on the table less than 2 minutes. Also, the girls are as good as guys when it comes to Tapai drinking ...
The Magavau – A passing parcel game with a little local twist where participants walk round like doing the Magavau during Kaamatan.
The Amazing Search for Toyol's Eyes - Participants have to collect as many floating Toyol's eyes (Ping Pong balls in actual) as possible within 3 minutes using their mouth.
We completed the night with a group photo with the guests:-
See you next year!

I know, this is my 2nd blog for today … but I can’t help, as much as possible, I just want to release my disappointment + dissatisfaction over here.
I’m super grumpy now! It’s 6:10pm, I shall be on my way home already but I’M STILL IN THE OFFICE! It’s been almost a week already I’m going home late … I feel so guilty to see my family waited for me at home to have the dinner. I feel guilty too to see my mum has to fry the vege herself nowadays (usually she will get me to cook when I get home around 6:20pm).
What the heck! The old man wants all administrators to report duty 15 min earlier & off duty 15 min later than usual time everyday, just to ensure that he can get hold of everyone whenever he needs us! He complaint to the EXCOs that one of the administrator’s Skype was off at 5:45pm while he needed to talk to them so urgently one day. But but but … 5:45pm is supposed to be the cut-off time for any bosses to give any instructions! Any task given upon this time shall bring forward to the next day! If he or she needs the assignment to be done urgently on that day itself, OT pay shall imply here!
And … NOW! I’m forced to work 30 min more each day … do I get my OT pay? How shall I fight for it … *sob sob*
Shall I report this to the Labour Department? How I hope someone from the Labour Department is reading this blog of mine & necessary action shall be taken to protect poor employees like us!
In line with the holy month of Ramadan and the upcoming Hari Raya, we, from the Promenade Charity Fellowship are organizing the Festive Charity Well project beginning Monday, 15th September – Wednesday, 15th October 2008 whereby a synthetic well is placed in the Hotel Lobby for hotel guests who wish to donate in kind, place their gifts with messages for the children at Rumah Bakti Harapan and Tenom Thalassaemia Society. We’ve been spending the entire morning to set up & as much as possible to beautify this well, hope it looks alright.
Join us in putting a SMILE on the face of the less fortunate or underprivileged children just by participating in this simple yet meaningful charity project.
How to join?
It’s just that simple! What are you waiting for? Start looking up for suitable gifts for these kids so that they could feel the joy too during these festive seasons.
All the above gifts or donations in kind will be personally delivered to both Rumah Bakti Harapan and Tenom Thalassaemia Society at a later date.
Just a separate note, we are planning on a similar charity project named "Gingerbread Express - Charity Carriage", which wil commence sometime around November in conjunction with the Christmas & New Year celebrations.
First Day
