Ip Man 2 and my tiger boy

I finally walked into the cinema after so many months as I wasn't attracted by any movie except Ip Man 2. For some reason, I didn't watch the first chapter last year, but I managed to keep track and got the full story with a little bit of my dad's briefing.

The story started with a rival between the Chinese on the variety of Kungfu in Hong Kong. Ip Man (Donnie Yen) meets the challenges from the master of other Kung Fu with his Wing Chun and soon impressed everyone, friendship is then forged. The later part of the story involved a major fight between the Chinese and Westerners. Ip Man defeats all challenges with the Westerners and that's how Wing Chun gains popularity among the society. I simply love the part where the Westerners being conquered!

The entire show was good! Now I know why Cindy shouted out, "Foul, give him a red card" during the show .. and my mum gently clapped her hand after the Westerners being conquered.

... and, if you're still wondering why is that my title of this post, how does Ip Man related to my tiger boy. Read on ...

Tiger boy was kicking and boxing so actively in my belly yesterday morning, I had to pamper him with my hand gently. Then, he kicked once in every minute until I get off from my bed. Should that be the effect from watching Ip Man with him the night before? He wants to learn Wing Chun! lolz ... My tiger boy roars!

Kungfu Panda

Yesterday is a history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift. That's why it's called PRESENT! ... a very classic quote from the Master Oogway.

It's one of the best movie that I've ever seen this year! I don't know about others, but I was laughing from the beginning until the end. This big fat panda never fail to amuse me!

The story took place in the ancient day of China. Po, the fat panda who works for his dad in a noodle restaurant, loves kungfu very much, he's a big fan of the famous Furious Five (include Monkey, Tigress, Snake, Crane and Mantis). During a festival in which the great master Oogway is going to choose the Dragon Warrior to save the world, Po was accidentally picked by Master Oogway. Trouble is, Po doesn't know any martial arts at all. The story went on with Po's intensive training by Master Shifu and how did Po manage to fight with the big evil Tai Lung who escapes from the prison to get revenge on Master Shifu.
The big fat panda Po with Master Shifu & The Furious Five

I swear ... this is a movie that delighted me from start to the end, everything is just so funny -- The training scene when Shifu and Po are fighting for dumplings with chopsticks are great + the final showdown between Po and Tai Lung was the best part which really cheered me up. Also, until now ... I still don't get it why a Panda's father is a goose? I've been asking myself a few times in the cinema, why is this happen? lolz ...

I love his face expressions ... it's so super funny!

Two words to describe -- WORTH WATCHING!

Ice Age 2

The Secreterial & Administrator Excellence course is not too bad, the conductor is a professional in educational field, quite a humorous guy. I can see that he try many ways & talk amusingly to make the entire lesson as interesting as possible. We played few interesting games, each game actually motivate & direct one to certain administrative role. However, the afternoon session was pretty boring. After lunch, he started with the filing & backing up system, we all started to fall asleep.

As promised, I'll blog about Ice Age 2, it doesn't have much connection to the 1st chapter, so we actually don't have to watch the first one to make any sense for this chapter. This time, 3 main characters Manny, Sid & Diego gone through another incredible adventure. This chapter talks about the end of Ice Age, the ice is melting & the melted ice will flood their entire valley, together with other animals, they try to figure out a way to escape. The movie opens with a "Water Park" where all the animals enjoy the moment with slides & pools, just like Sunway Lagoon with water tunnels and those exciting water games ... so delughtful! This chapter, Manny found her other half ... so lovely. Sid did well with his adorable yet annoying character. Not forgetting the stubborn squirrel rat (Scrat) overly protective & continuosly chasing the nut which added more entertainment value. As expected, this movie full of humorous, cute characters, and lovely scenes that warm our heart. Worth watching because of it's humour, I'll rate 7 over 10.

By the way, today is 1st of April ... I got fooled by Darling early in the morning. *sigh* punyaaaaaa stupid!

Mega Pavilion - a new cool place to watch movie in KK

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! Hey, It's not too bad ... at least I didn't fall asleep in the cinema. *heh* We went to the new cinema Mega Pavilion last nite. The new cinema is nice & cool. They renovated the cinema in a way that made me feel like I'm in KL. They have this unique twin seater specially desinged for couple, which is the first in KK. Recommend couple to try it, you can actually put your hand over your bf / gf freely & comfortably without the hand rest disturbing at the middle.

Mega Pavilion's tickets is very colourful & eye-catching. Unlike other cinema's ticket, they have the combination of blue + pink.

It looks like this, the other half of the ticket is pink in colour (it's been tear-off while entering the cinema, so I can't show it here)

KK has doubled its count of cinema screens. Recently, Growball has just added 3 screens to their cineplex and now, the newest cinema in town -- Mega Pavilion also has 3 screens. It seems that the cinama halls in KK are continuing to grow.

All About Love!

I went to watch "All About Love" this afternoon. It was a nice & touching love story, that combines sweet, destiny, love, hope and second chances in life. I couldn't control my tears from running down my cheek.

The story describes a man (Andy Lau) who is running a perfect life (a successful career + a pretty wife). However, one day, his wife (Ah Sa) suddenly passed away, leaving him devastated and alone. In order to distract himself from the tragedy of losing his beloved, he devotes himself fully to his work at the hospital. At the same time, Sam (Charlie Young) admitted into the hospital and he finds himself strangely attracted to this woman. Coincidentally, Sam is also the recipient of a heart transplant -- his wife’s heart. The story goes on ...

And you thought your parents were embarrassing…

Went to watch 'Meet The Fockers' last night. It's all right, I really laughed out loud at some parts, especially at the cute little boy *Milk! Milk! Drools! & ass..holeeee* lolz … he’s so cute!!! Greg's parents are really funny & hilarious. Can't stop laughing, it's something like the first chapter (Meet the parents), and this time ... Greg is given the permission to marry his daughter, while the future in-laws want to spend the weekend together. So, it’s just one weekend together. The movie moves quickly from one funny scene to another, there were no slow moments at all. If u guys need some good laugh … go for this movie!

I'm sitting here in the office, ignoring all the work I'm supposed to do ... I'm so slack today & I'm alone in the office ... they left me alone again. *sob sob*

Oscar the Sharkslayer!

Shark Tale

It's cute & hilarious! Watched it last night, the fishes really make me laugh! It captured my attention. The little hustler fish Oscar (voiced by Will Smith) is so cute, the movie wouldn't turn out that nice if the story goes without him. The vegeterian shark Lenny is a different kind of shark. He is the son of the big boss Lino, but when come to eating other sea creatures, he doesn't act like a normal shark. hahaha ... he is kind!

SYLVIA the movie

SYLVIA is a story of love between 2 poets in the 20th century. It's great, I never know there was an American Poet having same name with me. Sylvia Plath played by my favorite artist Gwyneth Paltrow! Love seeing Gwyneth so much, so I've categorised it in my 'must watch' list.

p/s. By the way, I went to watch New Police Story. Not bad, I would say this is the best ever Jacky Chan's movie (if compared to all his previous movies). Frankly, I don't like Jacky Chan, but other actors do light up the movie especially Daniel Wu ... he is so darn cool!

Spiderman ... it's awesome!

Went to watch Spiderman with a new friend last nite. Yes, new friend (Chee Yoong). He is actually my customer, in fact he wasn't interested in our properties but he is interested to call me out for a movie. muahahaha ... that's what i think! He doesn't have a good look, he is not tall (as short as kang jie) but he is nice & kind. hmmm ... that's all.

Alright, back to the show. Awww ... the show was awesome, love it. Peter Parker, the spiderman, he is cute! If all of u like the first one, u'll love this too, which consists of more actions and more flying. I like seeing him swinging from one building to another. Erm ... i'm not a good movie reviewer, can't describe more. People! Go watch the movie & find out yourself! *wink*

Movies!

Believe it or not, i went for a movie that i hated so much last nite (The Chronicles of Riddick). It's all becoz of Mr. Khong (my uni lecturer), he visited KK & called us up for a movie last night. The entire movie is about the further adventures of Riddick (Diesel), and i don't really understand what's going on. In fact, i dind't really concentrate on it, i was sleepy ...tired ... boring! I do like action movie, but not this kind, it's all about war & it's so violence ... unrealistic too! Erm ... solely my own opinion only ... no offence to those of you who like these movies. .

Alright, back to Mr. Khong! He is still the same, still having high liking preference towards football. Kind of miss the time we were in Monash. Our classes with him were fun especially tutorials. Well, he'll be staying here till Sunday.

Movies that I want to watch
