三楂双耳茶

Dad got this recipe for hypertension patients. It plays a great role in reducing blood pressure. Also good for big meat-eater. We made this for mum yesterday, apparently the taste turn out quite nice, mum likes it.

Ingredients:

Chinese Hawthorn (三楂) 20gm [Note: You can get this in any Chinese Medicine shop in town]
Ying Er (银耳) 10gm
Black Fungus (黑木耳) 10gm
Suitable amount of Rock Sugar (冰糖)

Method:

Boil all ingredients together for a minimum of half an hour, until the Chinese Hawthorn soften.

The Chinese Hawthorn has a great effect in preventing and controlling our digestion system. It also can reduce high blood pressure, fats and obesity as well as preventing constipation. However, pregnant ladies are not encouraged to drink. Important: DO NOT drink this with empty stomach.

p/s:

I've made my Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes yesterday. The garlic scent was great, I added some Basil to perk up the Mashed Potatoes. It taste great!
