A Breakthrough in My Life

I'm engaged!

Much awaited, it was another great & successful event in my life -- Our engagement was held on Sunday, 25 October 2009.

My deepest appreciation to all my relatives who helped out on that day. Special thanks to both my beloved parents & future in-laws who have done a lot for us on our Engagement Day. We love you! Not forgetting Junior Benjamin & Stanley who had in fact captured all my sweet memories on that day. Those pictures really paint thousands words, our happiness couldn't be more than that!

His mum wore the ring for me during the ceremony

Cheque presentation (dowry)

Simply touched by this photo ...

Last but not least, Azizan & I sincerely thanks everyone for the well wishes!

Happy Burfday to Mum!

Just had a birthday dinner with mum & family at Fukorou Japanese Restaurant at Damai. Love this place a lot, love their decor & peaceful ambiance. Their food are nice, especially the Garlic Fried Rice, all Garlic lovers will definitely come back for it!

It's been some time I haven't touched on all my jewellery tools, thought I should make some to brush up my skill again. Went down to CPS last week to grab some nice crystals. There's this shop selling pretty Schwarski crystal beads at Ground Floor. I used to buy a lot of crystals from them in the past, was surprise the attendant still recognize me.

Ever since I cease working, my overall expenses solely depend on my own savings & occasionally income from parents, couldn't afford any luxurios gift for mum this year, so I thought of making her some ear rings, all by myself.

I even designed & printed the birthday card myself! I would have created a better looking card if I have enough software / programme in my lappy. I miss my PC in PH now!

Once again, a very Happy Birthday to my LiangMaMa,
wishing you a joyful year ahead & healthy life forever!

My pet

I never expect that I'll get a pet for myself in my entire life and this "Monkey" (although he's a cat but we used to address him as monkey because he behaves like one) came into my life.

He brighten up my days, entertained me & my family everyday.

His face appeared in my mind when I wake up in the morning and Barney dreamed of him the other day. Apparently, he has became part of our life.

He sleeps besides us while we watch TV every night and he must watch the 11pm News together with Barney.

He cleans himself around 11pm every night.

He feels fed up every time I call his name just for fun.

He likes to sleep on the comfort carpet on our house's staircases.

He quietly sit at my room's door step every morning, waits patiently until I wake up.

He likes me to pamper him by brushing his fur from his head towards his tail, he enjoys it by closing eyes & waving tail.

He stares at the laptop screen when Barney leave the screen saver run by itself (p/s: the screen saver shows some sexy chicks' photo from the F1 Racing Show).

He likes to curl himself up, hiding his legs & tail under his body & make himself like a furball. That's why I gave him another name -- "Furball"!

I never know the fun of having a pet like him and now I know.
I love this "Monkey"!

Green Curry

Karen ... I think I owe you this!

This is the packet of Thai Green Curry Paste from Ching, specially brought back from her hometown.

Here's a little recipe in Thai at he back of the packet, if only you can understand it!

I was supposed to cook this earlier, but couldn't really find time to do it. Yesterday I managed to rush to the market in the morning, bought the necessary ingredients & cook this dish.

Ingredients:

Lime Leaves
Basil Leaves
Coriander (...but I did not manage to get this from the market, so I've omitted it)
Coconut Milk
Chicken (sliced into pieces)
Egg Plant
Cabbage
Potato
Diced Chillies

[NB: I did not mix in too much Coconut Milk & instead of adding in Coconut Cream, I added more water so that my Green Curry doesn't taste too thick. My parents prefer it in that way.]

I was a bit worried that it would be a failure as I seldom do such spicy & heavy cooking. However, it turned out pretty nice, it tasted similar to those Green Curry we had in Thai restaurant. hohoho ... Experiment has been completed successfully! Dad said it's good. =)

I thought I could take a photo of my Green Curry before we started our engine that night, god knows SESB shut off the electricity from 3:45pm until 7:30pm. I was cooking in the dark & had candle light dinner with lots of mosquitoes as dessert!

So, NO PHOTO provided for the above food review (thanks to SESB & that's the beauty of Sabah)!
