The Evolution of my Hairstyle

As I said, I’ll head to the saloon during the weekend, I need a fresh look. NO MORE CURLY this time! lolz …

I’m thinking of doing a recap on my hair style for the past 12 years, let’s name it “The Evolution of my Hairstyle" And … I’m not gonna show you guys my new look yet, hmmm … not until you have a full glance at all my photos for the past 12 years! wahahahahaha ……… *evil* [Unless you cheated & scroll all the way down to have a peep lar.]

Let’s start with my super young look ….

It was 12 years ago, I attended my dad’s best friend wedding at Tawau. Short straight hair with fringe. Looks like a kid huh!

Because of Tshung Tsin’s rules & policies, I couldn’t keep my fringe coz I didn’t have much time to trim it from time to time. I kept it long for quite some time.

Typical student hair back in September 1997. Yes, it was 10 years anniversary … haha! Yesterday Numbnut Kon came to my house, he commented on a picture that I took 10 years ago which is hanging on the wall.

He pointed at the picture …
Kon: Who is this?
Me: Me lar …
Kon: How many years ago?
Me: 10 years ago?
Kon: (Nodding his head) ……
Me: Why le?
Kon: You look so young!
Me: Hey, that’s 10 years ago, of course lar
Kon: Very much difference from now. (He looked at me & compared to the pic again)
Me: Do you mean I look very old now?
Kon: hmmm (silent for a while)
Me: *Speechless*

I know he meant it …. *sob sob* I hate him ……… ggrrrrrrrrrrr

I started to keep my hair long between Year 1999 to 2000. Entirely natural = no dye + no perm, totally product free! And … I still look young that time!

I couldn’t find a single pix in between 2001 and 2002. I can’t remember what I’ve done during these 2 years, I just could find any pix to show off here. *weird* Anyway, I remember I did rebonding one time. Besides, I dyed & perm my hair as well, I did that in a saloon at Sunway, they used cheap & common product which spoilt my hair badly. Felt so regret! Told myself not to use cheap products anymore!

Well, I still keep my permed hair until year 2003.

Now you know why I insisted on keeping my fringe in front. I just hate my forehead, it makes me look super old + ugly when I tie up my hair. I felt so regret with all my photos taken during my final year Monash Ball (July 2003). The above pic is the best out of the worse I can find.

After that night, without second thought … I head to the saloon & cut a fringe & I swore to myself that I’ll keep my fringe forever, to cover my forehead. Even when I get old in the future, I’ll still keep it. lolz …

My spoilt-curly hair in Nov 2003

Finished my study, went back to KK. Started my first job at Sutera Harbour in Mar 2004. This is my hairstyle that time.

Did rebonding sometime around July 2007

July 2004

Sept 2004

Every time when I get bored with my hairstyle, I would think hard to change a fresh image for myself. Wanted a short hair that time ...

This is the most daring hairstyle that I’ve ever tried.

Super short hair with super short fringe (December 2004). I don’t really like it though.

And ... this was how I look like in 2005.

Taken at Coffee Bean (April 2005)

Everyone said I look better in long hair. I was so regret, started to keep my hair long again. It was quite a hard time for me ... took me almost a year to look like this ..

It’s all about perming & straightening that I’ve done to my hair all these years. With the latest curly hair trend in mind, I permed my hair again. Did a digital perm, which looked very pretty but it needed much time to take care of. I want a permanent curl which doesn't need much attention, my stylist suggested me to do sponge perm, it looks very different to the Digital-curls. I just love it!

January 2007
Look at the curl, it looks so natural.

My wavy hair lasted for about 1+1/2 years. Guess what, this time … I straighten it again!

Everything back to normal! Yeah … If you compare this to July 2004, not much difference! That’s why I said … I’m just going back to my old time, coz I wanna be YOUNG! ^_^
