Another successful event here, it was “Back To School” in Promenade on last Sunday. The evening kicked off with a welcoming speech by GM & MD. While everyone was enjoying the lavish buffet dinner, staffs were entertained by a splendid a-cappella performance by the Tokojaya Sdn Bhd Team. They were great, they indeed brought my memory back to David Tao’s concert with Tension few years ago.
Besides fantastic lucky draw prizes, other much-awaited highlights of the evening were Presentation of awards to the Best Employee of year 2006; Tokojaya Group Long Service Award to 56 10-yrs service staffs; Best Dressed Awards - where staffs were chosen for their eye-catching ‘Back to School’ outfits. As usual, the winners always go to Housekeeping Department. By the way, I was one of the nominees of best dressed too *pai she* …
Last but not least, the most exciting award of the night was Best Inter-Departmental Performance which went to our dynamic S&M team that truly captured the hearts of the audience with its remarkable version of ‘Stages of Our School Lives’. Our musical performance brought everyone through a brief journey from ‘Promenade Nursery School’ up until graduation day at ‘Promenade University’. And … it amazed everyone, until the next day, I still hear people talking about it! lolz
