My Work, My Office

It's been really busy weeks, trying to accommodate with my new job, a totally new & unfamiliar industry to me -- Shipping Agencies. I didn't expect myself getting this job before CNY, wasn't really ready for it but couldn't afford to miss any good opportunity at the moment. So I reported duty on Monday, 10 January 2011 so that Kristine has adequate time to do her handover to me.

My new boss & colleagues are good, they're friendly & helpful, so far I don't see much politics here. A very traditional "Chinaman" company, not too much on rules & regulations, I somehow enjoy the freedom and flexibility here. Meetings are not as tense as the hotel industry, we can even have our breakfast & tea together with MD in the conference room. Imagine if we do that in PH, KHS would have killed us.

Love the environment of the office, I feel great working here.

There's always pros & cons ... The flexibility in the company restricted my work flow in some way. There's no proper handover notes from Kristine, the improper way of 'hand-over' somehow confused me on the first few days, I had to spend some time to figure out & digest everything at the end of everyday.

Anyhow, I miss the hotel and all the MARCOM jobs!
