This is something that is very not ordinary!

I met an Egyptian doctor working in Kapit, Sarawak last night. And the best part is ... I don't even know where is Kapit when he told me he's working in Kapit! So, before I continue my story, let me do a little bit research on this small town Kapit! Kapit Division is located in the central part of Borneo, it is bordered by Kalimantan, Indonesia at the south and east, Miri and Bintulu Divisions at the north and Sibu Division at the west.

Ok ... enough of the introduction of this town, back to the funny Egyptian!

The son of the former Aviation Minister of Egypt, this is the guy I met last night. I swear, he is the funniest Egyptian that I've ever met! Best of all, he is an Egyptian doctor who drinks & smokes like any other ordinary people. We had a good & fun chat with him together with 2 other friends of Zan at Cock & Bull Waterfront. Can you imagine an Egyptian acts like a tourism minister, never stop promoting the small town Kapit? He even offered us to go down to Kapit one of these days to experience his simple life there. English is the only language he speaks in Malaysia, he doesn't speak Iban (which is the mother tongue in Kapit), he speaks a little bit of broken Malay & managed to survive in this small town for 4 years, and surprisingly he loves it. We teased & encouraged him to become one of the parliament member for Kapit, and he was laughing!

In all, he is a very nice guy to chill-out with and we have successfully built rapport with him. Shall keep in touch ...

Sometimes, it's good to do something that is not ordinary in our life, things that we seldom come across in life, that could make our life more interesting. At least we don't sleep & eat as usual. Yesterday, we went to the Largest Hypermall in town 1 Borneo for a spontaneous preview. There are much to be done, still a very messy place. I doubt whether all these messy construction works could be cleared before they launch on 8 June, which is just one week away from now. As I told my mum, RC would do anything possible even it's not within his or his staffs' ability. Although I've only worked with him for half a year, I understand him very well, he would force his staffs to do everything that is impossible in order to get everything done, he always thinks he is the God.

The main entrance of the hypermall is covered by a super funky striking yellow canopy, which I think it's super duper ugly! Maybe Feng Shui told RC to have an ugly canopy to bring 'Wong' (fortune) to him ... who knows =p

Anyway, I'm so looking forward to the full completion of 1B, with all my favourite retail brands in it. During my sneak preview trip yesterday, I spotted SaSa, MAC and many many more. I'm getting more excited ... as I walked through the mall, all my memories strike into my mind, the designs of the mall & the unit numbers of each retail shop. And I told my mum & Yvonne that last time RC forced us to memorize how many washrooms & lifts at each floor, that was the most terrible moment in my life, do you know how hard is it to memorize the floor plan for a hypermall?

Moving on, we dropped by McDonald drive-thru! This is very unusual again ... we never have our tea beak at any of the fast food outlet if my mum is around, she never likes fast food. But yesterday, we broke the record & be the not ordinary one again.

We ordered 4 LARGE McValue sets, I'm supposed to get the regular set but I accidentally nodded my head when the waitress repeat our order. Nevermind ... we were happy to see so many fries. I never expect we could finish it ... but let's see
Now you see ...

Now you don't!

wahahahahahahahahahaha ........... Yvonne & I finished everything~!

and ... that ends my not so ordinary activities for the day!

p/s: I stole the above pictures from Yvonne's blog without her permission, coz I was the one asking her to snap the before-&-after pics. ^_^
