Dissatisfactions & Disappointments

Damn it … my house had a power-cut again last night (from 10:30pm to 2am), this is the 3^rd or 4^th time in a week that our Taman encountered black-out! I wonder how SESB promised that they would implement and improve the electricity supply all this while but nothing has been done! It was a Sunday night, and the next day is a hectic Monday, they cut the power without considering whether the residents here can sleep or not. I was so sleepy but couldn’t sleep without air-con, I was ‘melting’ on my bed. Was lucky because I still have my iPod as my companion for the hell 3 hours!

And this morning around 6 something, the power cut again … yes, AGAIN! How could they? *#@$%*#@%^$$

Anyway, I’m happy because I’ve done my CNY shopping with my mum yesterday. I guess mum is even happier coz she can shop after a long break being ‘prisoned’ at home. Mum bought a red shirt from Esprit, it has been a tradition for her to wear RED on the first day of CNY, even our inner garments have to be in red. ^_*

Seriously, I didn’t shop much this time, at least not as much as last year. I still remember last year we were a bit crazy, went shopping almost every weekend with Kelly one month prior to the CNY, the amount of new clothes that we bought were good enough for us to wear from the 1^st day until the 15^th day of CNY. Also, last year we were searching for polka dots shirts to match our family’s polka dots theme, which was funny. It’s only that one time I wear my polka dots dress and it’s nicely hang in my wardrobe now. What a waste …

This year, I only managed to buy one skirt from MNG + one shoe from Nike + one extra-ordinary dress from Salabianca (which I love it very much, will wear it to Ann’s wedding dinner on the 3^rd day of CNY) and one gai-gai bag from Roxy – my all time favourite!

And … You guys wouldn’t believe that this year the most I shopped was inner wear. I don’t know why I shopped so much for that, perhaps I got affected by Monster Denise. I bought 5 sets from Pierre Cardin! There must be something wrong with me, I don’t usually shop for bras but I did it this time. My shopping style has changed .. what happened to me?

I can’t wait to show off what I’ve shopped, but well … I’ve decided not to blog about it this time, not until I wear it on myself and take nice pix during the upcoming CNY. =P

By the way, we finally tried the very famous Big Apple Donut yesterday. Like what Denise said, those people are like never eaten donut before!

Anyhow, since we had plenty of times yesterday, dad tried to join the crowd & become one of those ‘never-eaten-donut-before’ groups. A few times I passed by the Big Apple Donut kiosk at Warisan Square, they had no or very little donuts on the display shelves, I think the people here are obviously starved for donuts! Yesterday, we were lucky. We managed to grab its various flavors. Basically, I’m happy with my donuts, I was feeling fortunate and satisfied with the yummy donuts. I couldn’t remember the names of the various flavors that I’ve tried. I love the one with chicken floss on top, apparently chicken floss not only goes well with bread, it blends well with donut as well. I would also recommend the one with peanut butter, it’s nice. However, my favourite Mango Tango didn’t turn out to be as nice as I expected earlier, it was too sweet for me. Maybe some of you who like to eat sweet stuffs would love this, but definitely not for me!

I wanted to try the Chocolate one, it looks nice but Nadiah (my niece) ate that while I asked her to choose one from the box, I guess she has the same taste with me. I’ll certainly go back and get myself a chocolate flavor donut one of this day.
