It's been a while I have not stepped into the kitchen. Today I have the mood to cook something for my parents. I looked up anything available from the fridge & decided to fried Mee Hoon with freshly sliced fish.
Supposed to fried the sliced fish with ginger & green onion (chinese style). But I couldn't find a single green onion from home, so I replaced it with big onion instead. It turned out even nicer ... I have always loved big onions, it goes well with anything. I love the fragrance during the progress of frying it. Many have proven that onions have great benefit to diabetes. It's also a great helper in killing bacteria. Much to my delight, onions have became pretty much common in every cooked meal I make.
Also, try adding a big onion in your salad (preferably raw onions) and test your own response.
[Tips: Soak the onions in cold water for few minutes could stay away from the fiery taste).
Alright, back to my yummylicious Mee Hoon ......
I didn't add in any soya sauce this time, coz I'm making a Cantonese style Mee Hoon. Instead, I added Oyster sauce to enhance the taste.
I fried the Ginger Onion Sliced Fish separately & spice up the plain Mee Hoon in a later part and that's the best part of the dish.
