Happenings ...

I’m back! Looks like I have to do a summary on my recent happenings (or I should call it my ‘awful experience’?).

  1. Sadly to say, I never have a chance to blog anything ever since I came back from my KL trip. I enjoyed my KL trip very much, shopped a lot & I feel great to shop with my own hard-earn money. I wanted to blog about things that I bought from KL, but I have no time … and, it’s over now, no point for me to talk about it anymore.
  2. Went to National Park with my relatives (from KL). Had some great time with them, I just simply love family gatherings like this. Even just sitting at home, chit chatting & drinking, it’s warm.
  3. Been working hysterically, too much functions in our hotel lately, it’s all because of the week long celebrations of Promenade Hotel’s 9th Anniversary from Monday (14th Aug) to Friday (18th Aug). I’m not gonna go into details on day-by-day activities. Just gonna touch on those interesting one. Here we go …

16th Aug (Wednesday)

Educational Tour for Chung Hwa Likas Kindergarten

Students were divided into 5 groups, each of them got themselves a mini apron. The function room is ready with cookie dough, roller and cutter for the kids to make own cookies for their mummies & daddies. We taught them how to make the cookie, how to cut the cookie into different shapes. While the cookies are in the oven, they were brought to a hotel tour. After the hotel tour, they started to do a hand made card for their parents & stick the cards on the bags of cookies. It’s all so lovely ... and ... the kids are so cute!

17th Aug (Thursday)

Sunset cocktail at the lounge

This sunset cocktail serves the purpose of the official announcement of the opening of the new Promenade Club Lounge located at 11th floor. It’s been a really cool night, we all chill-out together at the lounge with some invited guests. In fact, staffs are more than guests, so we enjoyed much on that night. We had our own gathering there, then moved on to Le Rendez Vous for a few glasses of drinks before going home at around 10 something. That’s my first time seeing my dear collogues drunk! lolz …

19th Aug (Saturday)

Outside Catering at MAKSAK Hall

This is an unforgettable night for me, it’s an awful experience for me. Will never forget those pains & tiredness after the entire event. Just because we don’t have enough banquet staff in the hotel, all office staffs have to help in the above event. In another word, we had to become the service staff a.k.a waiter / waitress. I was the beverage staff, meaning to pour tea (thanks god I don’t need to carry those big platter, but you’ll never know pouring tea isn’t an easy task either). For the whole nite, I’ve been pouring tea continuously to 15 tables (under my section). My muscles are so pain, my hand cramp, my backbone hurt & my leg sore. I can’t even wash my hair the next day, just like a handicap! That’s the worst working experience I’ve ever had. Gosh … There’ll be one more outside catering coming up this November (much bigger than this), doubt whether I can handle it or not.

I seriously need a rest now ... give me a break ...
