I had a surprising gift from Darling, never expect him to do this to me but yes, he did it. I'm so happy with it! He bought me flowers & sent it to my office on V-day (the florist sent it of course ... lolz)!
Here's my favorite Lily from my Darling!
Closer look!
The small bunny card is cute ... but I must say that the handwritting inside is yuckie, he should have written on it himself, the florist's handwritting is spoiling the card. Anyway, I've pasted the card on my bed's headrest. Just as follow:-
We had our valentine dinner at Beach Bums Restaurant last nite & followed up with a movie (The Descent). It's just another normal night for us. Anyway, I enjoyed the nite! Well, like I said, girls do not actually like flowers, but they just want to feel special & feel they are being loved. The flowers is not the main point, I'm happy because he actually put the effort to think something for our valentine, I'm happy because of his sincerity. I really appreciate him for remembering this day, it's our anniversary too!
By the way, I bought darling his favorite Issey Miyaki perfume. It comes in a package with perfume & shower gel. I hope he likes it.
Origins of Valentine's Day
Springs from ancient Roman fertility festival called Luprical.
Roman Priest Valentine lived under Emperor Claudius. Emperor had forbidden marriage for young men so as to have better soldiers. However, Valentine continued to marry lovers secretly. Valentine was executed for doing this, 14th February, 269 AD.
